Local Real Estate Investors Panel
In this business of real estate, including investing, you come to realize something really fast - that All Real Estate Is Local. Some people spend tens of thousands of dollars with gurus that come to town only to eventually be told to "find your local REIA". They do this because, well, those gurus also know that real estate is local.
It's our intention to help people skip this first and sometimes painful step of getting into a guru coaching program only to find out that, while their basic "book" training is good, it doesn't address two key aspects of real estate investing, and these are:
- All Real Estate Is Local
- You Need Accountability
When we say that "all real estate is local", we actually mean that the devil's in the details and those details have to do with local issues. In this case, local is like five concentric rings - the property itself, the neighborhood, the area, the county, and the state. Each of those "rings" contributes to what it means to act locally.
When we say that "you need accountability", we're tallking about having a partner, who is best also being your mentor, that will keep you on track, and is invested in your success right along with you.
A "coach" from California lounging by the pool with an umbrella drink with whom you get 30 minutes a week on the phone can't possibly provide those two things. It just doesn't work, as hundreds of people will attest to, some of them right here in the Milwaukee REIA. They got stuck, then they got smart and sought us out.
Now they have a partner that knows the local laws and the local state of the market, local contractors to do the work, local money lenders to fund the deal, local REALTORS to eventually sell the property and. most importantly, a local mentor who will get in the car and DRIVE to the property to help solve a problem.
